Common Bond Tanglewood is Now Open

Common Bond Bistro & Bakery, known for great food, excellent coffee, extraordinary bread, pastries, desserts, and cakes, is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in the vibrant neighborhood of Tanglewood at 5740 San Felipe Street, Suite 130, Houston, Texas 77057. Boasting a spacious 5,500 square-foot space, the locally owned counter-service Bistro & Bakery offers a delightful bistro experience encompassing classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, and artisanal baked goods.

The Location

The open and airy atmosphere sprinkled with accents of Common Bond’s iconic branding, welcomes guests into their largest Bistro location. Spanning two floors, the vibrantly colored restaurant features its classic order-at-the-counter style service with a spacious layout, comfortable banquette and booth seating, a hand-painted mural, and an intimate upstairs area with 30 seats, ideal for private events and celebrations.

“When the opportunity came to us to open a Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in Tanglewood, it was a natural fit. We were receiving constant requests from the community to open a Bistro in the Tanglewood, Briargrove, and the Memorial area, so here we are!” said Executive Chef Jason Gould.

The Menu

With the launch of the newest location, Chef Jason Gould introduces a new Common Bond Bistro & Bakery Menu (available July 2 at all locations) with items such as delectable burgers (Classic Bistro, Bacon BBQ, Mushroom Goat Cheese), refreshing salads, enticing combos, and heartier dinner options, such as the mouthwatering Cavatappi Pasta with black pepper sausage, creamy tomato sauce, roasted red peppers, pistou and fresh basil. Guests can also enjoy a full beer and wine list alongside new summer beverages including Frozen Lemonades (Peach, Mango, Passionfruit, Strawberry, or Traditional Lemonade), Cold Brew with Sweet Cream, and Cold Foam Iced Lattes.

To ensure a hassle-free experience for guests, Common Bond Bistro & Bakery offers complimentary secured parking in the adjacent garage, available on the first and second levels. 

Looking Toward the Future

Common Bond Bistro & Bakery is not only committed to enriching the dining landscape of Houston, but also has ambitious growth plans on the horizon. With aspirations to expand beyond Houston, the locally owned group is exploring opportunities for On-The-Go and Bistro & Bakery locations in Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Fulshear, and The Woodlands.
